Default any traditional bow successes 2007

Any pictures of success for traditional bows for 2007. None for me yet, other than a ten point buck within 15 feet but I had left my bow 50 yards away in order to move my tree stand. The buck stood and watched me for a long time. Fun to watch but I am still kicking myself two weeks later.:deer_runn

    Default this bow season

Shot at 10 yds 11-03-07 using my Martin hunter and Zwicky eskimo broadhead from my lower blind.
He kept chasing off the does by the blind, so I shot him instead.

shot at 10 yds 11-17-07 using my Tiger shrew longbow and bear razorhead from my lift blind.

Outstanding! A buck and a doe with your traditional bows. Nicely done.
I should have joined your success this morning but moved at the wrong time.

How long have you been using your traditional bows?

    Default shooting

    knelson,
I started shooting in 74. there was an archery range just off base so another guy from the squadron and I bought bows and started shooting.

After I got out I shot allot of tournaments in N.E. Iowa, LaCrosse and Winona.

I have been in S.E. Iowa now for 6 years.

Nice hunt Dor. I love the pictures that include a dad's kids. Being a dad is great. (a few challenges)

Jack, if you picked up the archery in 74 you are likely in my camp when it comes to age. Maybe that is why we shoot traditional. Can't figure out the pulleys, gears, sights and electronics of the compound bows. Or being more simple just feels good.

'going out this weekend. Cold and snow likely. Preferred by me, I wonder if anyone is seeing anything move. I'll walk over and ask PSE141, a training wheel guy.

    Default yep

Tapered cedar shafts. I made that batch up this past summer, donated 6 to the Trout Unlimited banquet and now only have 2 left. Time to make some more.
