Here's an idea to maybe help out the Adrenaline boys with their DVD line. I know ideas are like @$$holes, everyones got one! But this looks like a good place to post what you liked/disliked and what you would like to see more/less of on future DVD's.
Remeber that they can use or ignore your thoughts all they want since after all it is their business, but both pos and neg feedback keeps you in touch with what the viewer wants to see and can be a helpfull guide to insure future success.

    You knew this was coming...
    Dislikes,
-Bad work with the camera, they were constantly showing the focusing of the camera, and none of the deer shots were clear on camera shots.
-Over 50% of the shots were poor shots, clear misses, and most of the hits that they did get were pretty poor shots.
-One in a back leg, animal was not recovered.
-One in the back 1/4th of the deer, animal was recovered.
-Not knowing your target, the last shot with the muzzleloader was at a hind end, and the shooter did not know what he was shooting at.
-Overall, most of the shots looked like they were taken by guys that have never shot a big buck, and could not wait for a good camera shot. This is fine, getting your first big buck is a huge thrill. The one that got me though, is the MN deer, the Giant that came out and they shot it with the camera looking through the trees, when the buck had 10 steps to go before he would have been a clear shot for the camera.

-The editing of the video was very nicely done.
-The boys were having fun, which is a good thing on camera, but you have to do it in a professional way.

    Changes,
-You have shown that you can get some big bucks on camera, practice your shooting and make the shots and make sure the deer is fully on camera before shooting.
-Make sure the shot is an ethical shot, know your target, and make sure it is a good shot to take(not at a hind end).

    Good luck with season two...

I personally like this thread, and the whole idea behind it. We can all do our jobs better, and video production teams are no different. And, you should know that I am not talking specifically about Whitetail Adrenaline...though I have their dvd, I have not had time to watch it!

I think HE's above post illustrates the specific, helpful criticism that can be beneficial. He does not take cheap shots at any individual, but speaks about specific instances where--in his opinion--things could have been done better. And then he suggests a way to handle it better next time. I don't see a thing wrong with doing that.

I believe a forum like this can be a good vehicle for constructive debate about videos (or books, tv shows or even magazines) and what's in them. For example, poorly-shot deer are a "reality" but should they be included in a video? (I don't know). Do poorly-focused encounters or shaky footage make for a "bad" video? (IMO, one or two is OK, but if the whole show is wobbly, I get sick of watching it).

Anyway, I think this was a great idea and i appreciate how HE responded to the chance to voice his thoughts more clearly.
