What are some of your favorite recipies for ground venison? I am looking for something different other than hamburger, hamburger helper, and chili. Thanks

You could probably subsitute ground venison for ground beef just in about most everything I would imagine. meat loaf, chili, meat balls, hot dishes, etc... There are literally thousands of venison recipes online if you just did a google search for them.

    Default Beef Bouillon

My better half does not like the "gamey" taste of the ground venison so she uses Beef Boullion cubes or granules. It works like a charm. There are endless things to use ground venison for, and using the boullion along with whatever you are mixing it with will get rid of the "gamey" taste that a lot of people don't like. In fact, most people will not even realize they are eating venison!

We use ground venison for Chili, Spagetti (sp), Taco's, Sloppy Joe, Meatloaf ( mixed with either tube sausage or cheaper hamberger, more fat so it wont dry out). For Chili I had spices, tomatoes, etc, Actually I add spices to everything.

To help get rid of the gamey taste of steaks I usually thaw my steaks in bowls of water (not in packaging) and keep draining the water until it is clear and then marinate it. I think that getting the blood washed out help greatly in getting rid of the gamey taste.
