I made new limbs for a Schafer Silvertip recurve I own. They turned out great! The old ones were going south in a hurry...

If you are interested in doing this and don't have the time/equipment to make it happen, PM me and I'll put you in touch with my cousin, who's a bowyer. He can either make you new limbs or a new bow.

If it looks like its de-laminating, not sure how much you should shoot it!

I'd be a little nerveous about that and wouldn't recommend shooting the bow. If you are set on shooting the bow a least wrap the affected area tightly with electrical tape. It may get you through the season but again I wouldn't recommend it without looking at it. Chad

Hopefully it makes It through. I don't think Its as bad as I once thought but who knows I guess. I'm not sure If Its lamination or just glass. I might be making a trip to your shop come this winter after I can get some cash saved up and get myself another bow. I'll probably be getting a couple of bows being I'll need a back up also In case **** hits the fan again.

Actually It has held up great so far since I made the repairs to It this Spring. Hopefully another 14 more years of memories can be made.
