A little slow so far. One Down. Many to Go. It sounds like its been slow for quite a few people this year. Bad weather for hunting on many of the weekends. The good news is I believe we'll finish strong. Many great hunts left. Alot of late-season and that will make better video anyway. Besides the big buck sightings being down for this year so far our footage this year is by far the best we've had yet and I can't wait to put it all together. Good Luck. Hope it picks up for you.
Been a bit slow here in West Central MN too. Not alot of movement since the gun opener. Hunted Saturday and saw three little spike bucks, two of them were sparring about 25 yards from my stand for about 5 minutes. So I got that going for me.
Passed on several does earlier with a bow and now wish I had taken one.....as previously said, there's still plenty of time.
I feel your pain. I was in that region of the state last sat. for opener. Cold and windy. Like 30-40 mph winds and freezing rain. We hunted some public for the 1st time and got a descent 8 pointer but the hunt turned out awesome. Had a few smaller ones come by then the one we got. There's alot more to it than that though. I got a slob in Iowa yesterday. I think that it will be our best hunt to date. Hunting was slow so we made the "Executive Decision" to get down from the treestands. Well, we were really just cold. We did have a nice 10 pointer come by about an hour before we got down... anyway we started stalking up through the woods slowly trying to spot a big one and about 300 yards later we did! I'm not going to say to much but it was a 5 hour ground stalk to get close enough for a shot... Hope everyone's season is going awesome or it picks up like it has been for us...
