Thread: Wild Game Hotdish

    Fast & Easy to make

    1 lb ground meat (your choice)
    2 TBS Soy sauce
    1 small onion diced
    2 stalks celery diced
    salt and pepper to taste
    Brown in a dutch oven then add:
    1 can mushrooms drained
    1 can bean sprouts drained
    1 can water chestnuts drained and diced
    1 can Cream of Mushroom soup + 2TBS milk or more if needed
    1/2 cup to 1 cup cooked wild rice
    mix together until heated pour into 9x13 pan top with chowmein noodles & bake in a 350 degree oven 30-45 mins

  3. Default Halibut with Tomatoes & Great Northern Beans

    serves 4 prep time 10 min cook time 10 min
    1/4 cup live oil
    1/2 cup green onions sliced
    2 garlic cloves minced
    4 6 oz skinless halibut fillets or steaks
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 cups chopped tomatoes
    1 can Great Northern Beans drained and rinsed
    2 tsp red wine vinegar
    1/4 cup fresh basil leaves sliced

    preheat oven to broil. Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and garlic: cook stirring occasionally until softened but not browned about 2 minutes.
    Season Halibut with salt and pepper. Place on baking sheet and broil for 5-7 minutes until fish is cooked through. Add tomatoes to saucepan mixture and cook 4 minutes. add beans, vinegar and basil. Bring to boil: simmer 1 minute. Remove from heat.
    Serve fish over tomato & bean mixture.
