    Default Morel Mushroom Recipes

I figured we would have a post about how people cook their Morels. I usually do the standard way of frying them in a pan with butter/flour. I know there are TONS of other ways that people cook them. Here is one recipe that I found that I may try this week for something different:

    Stuffed Morels...
    1 doz. medium size morels
    1 can (8oz) flaked crabmeat
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 cup salad oil
    2 tbl mayonaise
    2 tbl chopped sweet onions
2 teas fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup of seasoned bread crumbs
2 tbl melted butter or margarine

In a bowl combine crabmeat, egg, salad oil, mayonaise, onions, lemon juice and 1/4 of bread crumbs. Wash morels under running water. Fill morel "shells" with mixture. Combine remaining 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over mixture. Place the stuff stuffed Morels in a pan. Bake in oven for approx 15 minutes at 375 deg F. Serve Hot.

slice mushrooms in half. Soak in salt water for 1 hour. Strain and run cold water over them until clean. Take flour and garlic salt in container mix and and fry in butter until crispy. You can eat them until you are sick. I think that is the best way I have found.

    Default Dried

When ever my pa found any we would dry them in a dehydrator and then add them to spaghetti sauces, soups, anything basically. This way they also keep for a long time
