Ice is Out, start of the 2010 walleye run

Found a new honey hole..I have been fishing by the damns and bridges by me and i have had success but the fishing pressure at times is so overwhelming it kinda ruins ur fishing. Well today i tried a spot i found while duck hunting last fall where i knew there was a drop off. You have to walk a half mile accross a bog full of hidden stumps, knee high thick grass and sinking uneven soil. But when we got there and started hooking into them it was worth it. Between my buddy and I we caught 8 walters today and it was a blast. most fun ive had fishing in a long while. Today is one of those days i wish the limit was more than one. Oh well more for other days!

Well had another good day today on the water. First cast was a sucker, oh well its a fish. And then in the next hour and a half i had three nice ones. threw the first and the third back and kept the 2nd. But its also a sad day, i had the biggest walleye of my life on and to the shore. But I had no net. I cld only get him to his first fins trying to pull him out with the line and he broke off. Its hard to be bummed when u r catching fish but that was a wall mounter. oh well back at it tomorrow.

Little snow isnt going to stop us. lol Well it snowed between 2 and 4 inches depending on the area last night. And the wind was whipping today making it miserable to be out there. But we toughed it out for 4 hours. I had a hell of a time, i had one real nice one that got off and i got a good eater but let him go cuz my buddy caught a couple nice one. But never got another hook into one. The first fish was mine. Rest r my buddys.

A buddy and I took his kids out on the boat friday and caught some good eaters. In 4 hrs we caught 26 fish. Biggest one was 20 all smaller males but alot of fun none the less.
