Ive never had it, but my cousin had it this past summer or the summer before, and his started with a rash. I think from there he just started feel generally crappy, like he had the flu, and it just continued to get worse. I remember it being awhile before they actually diagnosed it, and the tick had bit him quite a while before he started to get sick...and it took awhile to get rid of it too...

You might want to ask Swens. I think he's had it about 4-5 times. lol As I'm sure you know, it's not something to screw around with. Get in and get the shot/meds no matter what your doc says or thinks.

I had it last year....my wife actually spotted the ticked (much smaller than the average wood tick) on my back. I had the red ring before the tick was even removed from my back. The doctore got me on the antibiotic right away and after 2 weeks the symptoms were gone. My symptoms were: joint aches, dizziness, and my head felt like it was a bowling ball resting on a needle!

Don't ignore it! Get the antibiotics...it will not go away on its own!

That pretty much sums it up right there. And yes, I have been diagnosed 3 times and it is not fun. On another note, I do think that the disease always stays with a person once they have it. Could be wrong, but just my feeling on it.
