2010 Morel Mushroom Harvest Thread

I went to some of my proven spots today and it is a tad early and way too dry out there. I won't be going out again until we get some rain. Looks like we have a good chance this weekend, but next week's temps don't look the greatest.

Was out calling Turkeys for my mom this past weekend, looked at a couple of our better spots. Found about a dozen total, I think once we get some rain they will be popping pretty good. Its my Turkey Season this weekend, so I'm hoping they don't start popping good until after my season.

Not sure if you are wanting a number or pounds for this. We didn't weigh them but we found 54 Saturday morning while out turkey hunting. We found them in a spot we always find some. Found a lot more in the last couple years but that was later than now. Then I found a whopping 4 more today. Nothing of any size really.

We had crappie, turkey(from last season), and morels for supper today.

I found 3 pounds last night some nice big ones that had frost damage.

I found 1 lb of grays in Fillmore County.

Found another 2 lbs in the same area as yesterday. The tree I found them under today didn't have any under it yesterday. Guess the rain was the missing ingredient.
