Any rabbit/squirrel hunters on board?
Most years I go after them pretty much year round. We have no closed season on rabbits...squirrel is closed from the 1st of March til the 1st of June. The little .40 caliber longrifle is itching to get out.

I just shoot rabits to get rid of them eating my field. But my cats are true rabit hunters.
I'll shoot them when out on other small game hunts because they are good eating, but I can't say that I go out just for them. I know if the few rabbits and squirrels I have around my house keep messing with my garden and flowers, bad things may happen to them!![]()

Of the predator hunters we have on board, how many of you hunt them in the summer months?
When I had my FoxPro call I used to do very well in the late spring/early summer with the puppy in distress call. Though I don't have my FoxPro anymore, I can get most open reed calls to sound pretty close to a pup in distress so I may be going out there one of these days. I'd like to try for one with one of my handguns.

I hunt them both ,and now that my kids are at that age they really want to hunt we are doing it more this year.I just got a mountain feist and have been training her all summer, season opens tomorrow so cant wait to see this little girl tree something we can finally shoot!!Seems like when we get older we just deer and turkey hunt and leave the thing we all cut our teeth on,I know these last 2 seasons with the kids have been the best in some time and we arent killing alot .
