If anyone has any info on public land prairie dog locations in Eastern South Dakota, please let me know. I'm looking to head out there in mid August for a few days.
Thanks!

I would look around Winner, SD. That's about as far east as you can be and still enjoy good shooting. If you call the Winner Chamber of Commerce they can provide you with a list of land owners that want prairie dogs shot on their property. Some are free and some charge a fee (normally $25 per day per gun). We have done this several times in the past and it is a good way to get on quality property.
Thanks RidgeRunner!!! I just sent them an email for the info.
Anyone else interested in going to SD in mid August? Me and Nikki will be out there for about 3-4 days.

Good luck to you. Expect the dogs to be very skittish after being shot at all summer. You'll have to be patient and expect long shots.
If you really want to heat up your gun barrel trying going around memorial day next year. The young ones are just starting to come out and they usually present non stop shooting. Very different from what you'll see in August.
