    Default Blind Bags..Opinions please

Im wondering if packs designed to carry your blinds are worth it? The one Im looking at is the Horn Hunter Blind Hog:

I have an Horn Hunter Mainbeam pack and I like their products, and I think they are a pretty decent price. Im not going to buy a Rackpack or Wildthing or something like that, its just not in my budget.

My other option is the $20 bag offered by primos/double bull.

Im just curious if you guys think the extra $60 is worth it?

I don't know what your budget is, but I have a Magnus RackPack and I like it a lot. Tons of room and it works really well to pack in a blind. Plus it's a chair all in one. Watch the video if you have the time.

I saw that Primos bag at one of the hunting shows this winter. I was impressed by it, especially for the money. Haven't used one, but it looks good !

Yeah my friend has the bag and I have used it..it works really well for carrying the blind, chair, and bow, especially for $20 or so..The thing about the blind hog is that it carrys all that, plus your decoys and anything else you are bringing to the blind (calls, clothes, etc).

Im thinking I might buy the cheap one and having my grandma sew some pockets on the side of it for my gear. I could also possibly figure out a way to attach my decoy bag to it..that would be pretty sweet..

I guess the question is how much stuff do you have to pack in and how far will you be packing it?

I guess its hard to say..around home, maybe a half mile, maybe more, maybe less..on hunting trips, you never know.. I dont really have that much stuff, decoys, calls, maybe an extra sweatshirt or something...just the usual stuff. The only problem I have with getting the cheaper bag is that you cannot wear another backpack while you have it on, so everything you bring with you has to either go in your hands or pockets..thats really the only thing thats making it a tough decision..

Well bless grandma's heart! Wish she'd sew up some of my gear for me!

Seriously, I learned years ago to sew stuff using dental floss for thread. Get a big-eyed, sharp sewing needle and double up the floss. Great for repairing all kinds of clothing and gear...It'll last forever after you sew it with floss!

I load my blind pack down until the pockets are bulging. Then I strap extra stuff on the outside with bungee cords. Those things are awesome!

Well cabelas had the cheap primos bag on sale (since all the new blinds come with it now) for 15 bucks, so I figured I didnt have much to lose by getting it. It will carry my blind, my bow, and my chair. After playing around with it a little and trying to figure out how to carry my other gear (pack and decoys), Im starting to think its not really gonna be too easy and I might have to just spend the money for the Blind Hog. That should solve all my problems!

Pick yourself up a full time cameraman and make them carry everything.
