I saw this on another site and thought it would be fun to see here.
Would you rather shoot a 170" buck with a gun or a 150" with a bow?

150 w/ a bow..

170 w/ a bow.
I've shot a couple of 150's with the bow and it would take something like a 170 while gun hunting to pull the trigger (easy to say I'd hold back sitting here in front of the computer).
So if my only choice was 150 bow or 170 gun, guess it would be 170 gun.
Easy choice for me, 170 with the gun. I don't have any on the wall.![]()
Either one would be one heck of a prize in my book. As my biggest buck, is the one I shot this past year 115. I would probably feel happier with the bow kill a little more.
170" with a gun.
I don't hunt with a bow right now, so I would have to say a 170" with a gun. A late season 150 incher with my muzzleloader would be good.
Either one would be fine with me!
We don't have too many 170s around the areas I hunt so that would be a real trophy, but so would the 150 with a bow. It is a toss up either one would be a trophy to me I don't care what I shoot it with. I used to think bowhunting was the only way but in the last couple years I have been changing my thoughts on many things.

150 with bow. Takes more planning/skill/luck to harvest big deer with archery gear.
I have yet to shoot a buck with any size with either weapon. Therefor the first to happen is what i would like the best. I have hunting for over 13 years with a gun and 7 with a bow and yet have to get any real horns. I have passed up on a few basket with my bow that might have gone for 100 or so. So I would be happy with a 140 with either weapon.
