Thread: Food Plot Done

  1. Default Food Plot Done

Well I got most of my food plot planting done. Just one more small plot to go. In my biggest plot i plant biologic green patch plus. Down in a little plot in the woods i planted Deer Creek-loggers trail mix. Here is some pics of my bigger plot. I also have clover surrounding this plot that has been comin in thick for years.

That looks great NE! Was that an existing field, or was it grass and you worked it up? If so, what did you use to work up the grass with and what did you use to plant and level it with?

Keep us updated on the progress as they start to grow..

Well it had been planted many years ago and the last five we have been putting food plots there. Around the edges in clover and rye that comes back every year. And the clover seems to spread to the actual food plot part every spring. We use an old two blade plow and plow it then used a disc behind the old International farmall. Then we pulled a fine drag behind the four wheeler. Planted, then ran it over with a homemade cultipacker we made out of a chunk of culvert pipe.
