I took part in a fire/incident simulation yesterday in Anoka. Federal amo was the host on the land just adjacent to Hwy 10 near the Riverdale Mall. Well we stuck around until the 3 fires died down and were put out and I decided to take the engine the back way to the clubhouse for lunch. I was on a 2 track trail just inside a row of small pines that runs along hwy 10. I drove past a ridge and I looked out into the field and 12 deer are out feeding at 10 in the morning. 3 very nice 8 point and bigger bucks out eating without a care in the world. Fun to see deer in places like that and speculate what body part I would give up to hunt the area.
