Thread: acorn crop

  1. Default acorn crop

The deer in Central Mn are really on the acorns right now. They are coming into the yard to get them and standing out in the pastures in broad daylight to get at them. They are probably going to be all gone by the opener around here!

I have been seeing the same thing where I live. More acorns this year than the last five years for sure.

The white oaks started dropping their acorns about a month ago and are essentially done in my area. Haven't checked any red or black oaks. Good apple crop, for certain varieties, getting lots of trail cam pics from the orchard. Beans are losing leaves, corn is drying down, looks to be an early fall around here.

    Yup!

What a change from last year! Always fun dealing with the different curveballs thrown at us by Nature and the weather
