    Default 5 more

You know it's a good walk when your hands are tired from squeezing 5 antlers in one hand on the walk back to the truck.

    Started out with this one

Then this big one on a logging road

Rescued this unblemished matched set out of the mud/leaves....probably sat there 2 years.

Finished up with another ABC shed

Had one of my best days ever yesterday. Picked up 8 sheds in about four hours. Not much for size though. The biggest one was about 60". Found a dead buck too. It's too bad. He's a pretty nice one that I have a buch of trail cam. pictures of.

Made it out yesterday afternoon for a few hours and found six more. A couple of decent ones too. Four out of the six are 55"+. Friggen tree rats got to the two best ones before me though . That puts me at 40 for the year which makes this my best year ever as far as numbers go. Not for size though. First time since 2005 that I haven't picked up atleast one 70+"er.

Bummed about this one. Sitting in the wide open in a pasture. Wish I would have walked this last year.

Not much left of this one

got done with work a little early yesterday and went for a little walk found two smaller singles then found my biggest set of the year, one side measure around 67 and the other 66, had laid there for atleast a year and not a chew on them, these four put me at 49 for the year going to try to get out today for a bit and try to find one more and then I think I will call it a year

You're having an excellent year, mums. Nice finds.

I was able to make it out for about an hour on Tuesday. Managed to pick up What is quite possibly the coolest shed I have ever found. Its a five point with a normal brow and a fairly normal G2, but the main beam and two more points are all palmated together. To me it much resembles a moose or a caribou. I'll try to get some pics uploaded asap. I'm having an issue with my photo bucket account. Hopefully I can get it worked out.

First shed I have found that was a casualty from a brush hog. This woulda been a BIG one too.

    Default Montana Sheds

I was in Montana for a week this summer visiting my uncle. We did a lot of hiking. On one of our hikes I found these 2 Mule Deer sheds within 5 minutes of eachother. Both are kind of old. The bigger one is the older of them and is chewed on some. The smaller one is in great condition though!

Added a few more sheds to my collection on my trip to Wyoming this fall. Ended up with 25 whitetail sheds from public land in WI. Picked up 5 mule deer sheds in 4 days of mule deer hunting along with a nice 3 point skull. Also a nice 5 point elk shed along with some spikes.
