The only thing worse than a viking fan is a arrogant packer fan or any fan who's team has had recent success. Favre was a great part of packer history, and Swens is right, it is all business now, very few are committed like the old days. Nobody was complaining about Favre when he was packing their wallets full largely because of him, and I certainly didn't see anyone trying to pay it back when he was gone. Those days are long gone, and so is the integrity of the pro sports with the money they pay them. I love to watch it and i am as educated as the next guy in most sports, but they don't put any food on my table. It's a sport, and a great one, and the rest is crap.

thoughts on the first pre season game?

With two weeks of camp before the first game, thought the first team looked good. Second team was good but has alot of work. third team ehhhh not the best. The new wide reciever cobb looked pretty sharp. Harrell and third string defense has some serious work to do. As does everyone with only 2-3 weeks of actual work in. Must be alot harer to evaluate young players with the shorter time period. Bottom line all the press is going to the eagles cuz they spent all thier cap dollars on every free agent on the market. But as long as the packers play consistant and stay healthy they will be just fine.
