I know that there is an open season on 'yotes, but do you need a trapping/furbearers or small game license to hunt them in MN? Thanks for your info.

No.

Residents and nonresidents are not required to have a license to hunt
unprotected species
including coyote. Nonresidents do not need a furbearer
hunting license in addition to their small game license to hunt fox.

sorry to hijack, I am looking into doing some coyote hunting. problem is nobody i know hunts these things. i have a rock river .223 predator ar and lookin to put down some varmints.
I live in Dayton , Mn. and you would be surprised how many yotes live right under our noses .
I put out 2 deer carcuses in my back yard and have killed 5 so far , can't shoot a centerfire here but rim fire is fine , so a 22 mag does the job . We should all go to our deer hunting spots too and wack as many as you can " Now is the Time "
Good job on the predators!
