It varies even from one valley to the next. At a friend's area 20 miles from me I'd say he thinks 90% are shed.....they have no standing corn in their area. My area had quite a bit of standing corn going into the winter and I'd say maybe 25% are shed here.

IMO, its mostly dependent on stress caused by lack of food. If you've got a pile of goodies in an area, they'll hang on to them much longer. The harder they have to work to eat, the quicker they drop 'em.

In the 2 areas I have had cameras this late season they are all showing about 50 to 75% shed so far. One area the bucks are moving between two different areas to eat. It is pretty cool because If I check a camera on one day I will get pictures on another another camera that same night so I know they are bedding close by.

Not real sure. But I know there are at least 7 sheds from this year out there right now, two matched sets one is a decent 8 point.
Saw two small bucks today both still packin.

If I had to throw a number out there it would be about 10 -15%.

went for a walk the other day and found a spot where there were 3 to 4 hundred deer yarded up together and only saw three bucks with horns, two holding both sides and on half rack

I'd say 50% still carrying 1 or both....mostly the immature bucks are still holding them

I think they are wearing them around where I live. I have been looking pretty hard and only have 11 so far. Last year I had 32 at this time!
