    Default shed hunting question

when do you guys have your best luck finding sheds, do you try to get out and find them as they drop in the snow or do you have better luck later in the spring when the snow has started to melt?

you will have the best luck in march but the problem is everyone and their mom looks for sheds now so you might get beat to the punchline if you wait to long!

Trail cams and scouting until they start dropping, dont go into the bedding area unless you have too.by april all the tresspassers have done there yearly screwing and breaking the law for something they have no chance at getting a legitimate shot at anyway.. Royally pisses me off..This yr I decided to go above and beyond to catch these *******es...ANYWAY sorry..every place is differant.for instance me and swens pulled 34 sheds out of one picked corn feild in 2 days, 3/4 of a mile away my buddy has 8 bucks still carrying to this day. By this post I am assuming you have had your fair share of issues with trespassers

I know I'm in a complete different area than most you you but our best shed hunting years where when we waited til March to even start looking.

Last year was the best shed hunting we have had in years. We had a bunch of snow and kept feeding the deer all winter and kept the trail cameras out to moniter when the sheds where dropping. Both of those things really helped out last season.
