Default Union bill and WI gov Scott Walker

Maybe it's time that the government sector feels the squeeze the private sector has been.

I read about this yesterday. Very interesting.

When governments are in debt like they are, everyone is gonna have to give a little to right the ship.

I bet the kids are enjoying a couple days off of school...For now

My thoughts exactly stump..the private sector has been struggling for years now, and now when the public sector starts to see some cuts and harder times, they get all upset and start protesting..like they shouldnt have to be affected like everyone else...

Its no wonder they all vote the way they do

So teachers(for example) pay into their union which then at the state and national level they lobby for liberal or dem politicians(because they know inherently they will put more money into education and garbage programs). So if that takes place, then that same union will then go to that same person they lobbied for and discuss benefits, pensions, more $ for education, etc... Of which they know they will get because that teachers union just helped, gave $ to the campaign of that politician.

So isn't that a HUGE conflict of interest? Talk about corruption. Unions should have never been able embed themselves into government. Enough is enough and it's time for the public union sector to pay what the private sector does.

When Mr. Walker and the other constituents are done, I wonder if WI would lend us all of them. Maybe for good! They can have Dayton. Here's his brilliant tax plan. Raise taxes.

Taxing the rich makes absolutely zero sense. Tax the people who make the most, spend the most, quite possibly who own businesses, buy the most cars, etc...., etc....

I think WI may be the first state to do what they are doing but there will be several states following. The pensions and the health care when the union employees retire far out pace what they have paid in. I for one can't wait to see it happen in MN. Don't get me wrong I appreciate teachers but their union has far too much power, and from what I see too much money, has anyone else noticed the number of comercials the teachers union puts on TV? union comercials?

The thing that I find interesting about this whole deal is, when the WI democrats realized they didn't have enough votes to defeat Walker's bill, they all got in a bus and ran off to Illinois!

There's your elected officials at work for you!

Honestly, you can't make stuff like that up

I hope Wisconsin holds strong and fires these people who don't return to their jobs. Union or not, you shouldn't be able to walk out on a job.

I wonder were the union brotherhood is? The alternative to the proposed increase in payment for health and retirement is the loss of 12,000 state union jobs. Seems like the brotherhood would see this and all take a cut vs some of the union members who will have no jobs. As far as the missing Senators, the problem will still be there when the decide to come back out of hiding, they wonder why they are getting voted out of office?

screw them, welcome to the real world! everyone else feels the pinch so should they!
BTW fire EVERYONE of the spineless politicains that ran away from their job! anyone else in any type of job they'd be fired on the spot, so should they! replace them with the people that ran against them.
