awesome. i got your pm, but since i have less than 5 posts i can't send private messages. definately going to take advantage of your offer when i can. i only have a red dot sight now, and hunting yotes gives me a valid argument to keep spending money to wifey, gotta find an entry lvl scope to get started.

My AR has a red dot scope too, but trust me, they are good to over 100 yards if zeroed right. Plus you get the chance to practice with something you can use for home defense and really getting to know your firearm and its limits.

I'm dropping you another PM with my email address and cell number.

I'm not hunting this weekend though as I feel like the walking dead.

I used to use my old 30-06 before I got my .270. I used my .270 until I got my first 22-250. I used that (and still do) until I picked up my AR.

It’s a progression thing, and if you’re not careful, it gets expensive!

Dead is dead my friend. Unless you want to keep the fur for anything, your 06 will be just fine. Loud, but fine.

Heck, even shotguns with buckshot or turkey loads work wonders. I may bring my gobbler getter in case they come in close and let you guys get some shooting in.
