    What would cause blue pee in rabbits?

    Some plants (like buckthorn) contain chemicals that get passed into their urine, and comes out brownish, and after being degraded by sunlight, it turns blue..

    You know this is rough time of year for them trying to stay out of harms way. They have to keep their fluid and energy levels up and some probably drink rasberry Gatorade. Just a thought!!!

    You guys must of never seen a rabbit with blue balls. That's how they get rid of them.

    You won't believe this, but I actually just read something about this. Deer will pee blue, too, in the late winter. Something about a type of browse they eat, and the way their body metabolizes (OK that's my 25 cent word for the day) it.

    Anyway, it doesn't hurt them or anything.

    Go figure....

    Haha there must be only males around then if they are getting blue balls.
