Default The Geese are Moving in Southwestern Minnesota

The geese are moving. Saw alot on the 11th that seemed to be flying all over the place, with alot of flocks headed south. The 14th they seemed to push north again and today they were flying all directions again. I think they want to go north, but there is just too dang much snow here in Minnesota yet. It sounds like there isn't much snow if any left in Iowa. I did see my 1st flock of snows headed north yesterday. This is the Redwood Falls and Marshall area.

Had a flock of 8 swans with 3 tag a long canadians go over the house yesterday afternoon. Had a Mourning Dove in the driveway picking grit on Sunday. Seems way early for a dove. Lots of snow melted yesterday, so it looks like spring is finally getting here! I live up by Brainerd MN.

Do you think that's the mian push in your area, or are there alot more to come? Would like to hunt snows in SD some spring. I know it varies from year to year, but if one was traveling a few hundred miles what time frame would be the best? I would probably have to plan a couple months in advance. Would hate to drive that far and not get any shooting. Some would be okay. Any info would be appreciated! Thank you in advance.
