Default turkeys getting me alittle discouraged

Went driving around to a few spots I turkey hunt and did some calling and not one gobble back. It was around 3:00 in the afternoon dont know if that had something to do with it or not. So my question is , when is the best time to call or can you call at any time of the day?

I have always had my best luck in the morning for getting response to calls, not saying that is the norm though, just what I have experienced over the years

Turkey are obviously a LOT more vocal in the AM, after having to roost quietly all night they are usually more that anxious to roar in the morning.

Also, I wouldn't be mimicing turk sounds to try to locate the birds and provoke a shock gobble, for that I would stick to a crow for daylight use.
An archer tries to see how far away he can get from his target and still connect. A BOWHUNTER tries to see how CLOSE he can get to his.
