Quantity, not quality..
I have been very concerned about the quantity of deer in our area, as it has been on a steady decline over the past 6 years due to Intensive harvest and the shift to either sex during the 3A season. I have the patience to sit 35 times and see one quality deer, as I did in both 2009 & 2010 and as MOTRHoney did last year. Each of us went to full draw only twice all year, but each of us shot high quality bucks. We could not buy a doe. I have seen the potential our area holds, like the 170 from 2006, and like DXT mentioned his 165 in 2010.
The land I hunt borders public land, and is heavily pressured. This parcel is bordered by private land on all sides and by owner/hunters that practice some form of deer management.
