Bri's First Carp

We were a little bored at the lake and knew of a few spots filled with carp, so we rigged up a carp killer and headed out.. Let me first explain a little bit about out carp rig..

We bought a carp arrow, then filled a spinner reel with 80 lb spiderwire. We took the pole down in half so the string only had to go through one guide (helps keep the drag down on the line). One person then holds onto the rod and opens the bail and the shooter shoots. The rod doesnt really work well for reeling in the fish, but we just pull them in by hand.

We got to our spot and my one friend shot one right away, then it was Bri's turn. On her first try, she stuck two at once. The second one got off the arrow while we were pulling it in, but she got the one. A rock broke our arrow shortly afterward and ended our day early..
