    Default Moultrie M80x

Well after reading a lot of camera reviews I finally decided to go with the Moultrie M80x as my replacement for my junk Predator Traileye. I was playing around with it last night in the backyard and I must say I like it so far. The distance the camera can take night pictures is pretty amazing and the close up pictures aren't all washed out. I should have left it in the backyard while I was on vacation last week, I had deer tracks in my new grass when I came home and I live in the city. Unfortunatly it will be a couple of weeks before I can get it into the woods. Can't wait to see how she performes.

How have the cameras been treating you guys? I'm really interested to see how the pictures and videos turn out. I still haven't bought one. I'm kinda waiting to hear from you guys before I buy one.

Once again i respectfully disagree with you. They may not have the fastest trigger speed. but my old I40s have by far been the most reliable cameras i have owned. And i leave them out all year on the same batteries even all winter long in the cold. Now the newer moultries no doubt have a quicker trigger and better quality images. But junk the I40 is not sir.
Fire up the grill cuz bowhuntin isn't catch and release!

Do you have nothing better to do than try and start arguments with me?? My I40 was replaced within the first year because it quit working. Now the screen is not working. The trigger speed is the slowest I have ever seen on a camera. I can walk back and forth in front of it 10 times and it might take one pic. I'm saying the I40 I have is junk and I wouldn't take another one if somebody paid me to use it.

I've had a chance to play around with the M80x for a couple of weeks now with mixed results. The picture quality is pretty decent but the wide field of view seems to make the pictures wider and shorter in height. I had the camera in a little depression with the trail about a foot higher than the base of the tree the camera wan on; cut the tops of the deer heads off. Then I went to move it, put a different SD card in and the camera wouldn't work and it did the week before with this very card. I put the previous card back in and it worked fine. I'm going to buy a new card and use it only in this camera and see what happens.

no not starting a fight, i just havn't seen you post anything positive about any piece of equipment. My experience with the I40 is far from what you posted but to each his own.

my buddy bought a couple m80s and i believe they were designed to be set back further and get a wider field of view for like food plot pictures and such. they did expand the sensor range for the m80. he has his set back a little further and his pics have turned out pretty darn good. they have them at my local walmart for 100 bucks even. i think i may pic up a couple.
