Checking in. My vote for our team name is either Team Lung Butter or Team World Domination.

I like Team Lung Butter. It just gives me the warm fuzzies, haha!

I have a couple of bucks on cam. These are the best I have so far, but my other cam might be going to heck. Didn't get hardly anything on it, and the date and time unset itself. I know there are some good bucks there though. first is one I call "lefty" (2 pics) and the second is "unicorn" (zoomed in on his picture). I have pictures of both in 2009. I think Lefty is about 4 1/2 and Unicorn I'm thinkin is at least 5 1/2 (just my best guesses). Lefty has always had a weak right side and Unicorn used to have one giant thick point on the left side going about straight up.

I nominate Miss CFK to be our team captain....

Also, I am not one for trash-talking, but I have to know this, Miss CFK: Will it cause bad feelings if Team 9 thumps Cornfedkiller's team?

Ah he will probably cry for a week or two, but he'll get over it

Set up two tree stands and 2 ground blinds on Monday. I'm hoping that one of the ground blind locations is a doe-killing factory. It is set up facing a trail used as they come out of their bedding area into an alfalfa field...20 yard chip shot if all goes as planned. Also set up the stand that I have taken an 8-point, 8-point, and 10-point out of the past 3 years. With the weather cooling down the season can't get here quick enough!!!

I'm getting pretty excited to get out there. I'm gonna check my cams again this weekend. I was pretty pumped to check my cams on my father in-law's ground, but he was pretty excited too and check one of them last weekend without me...then he lost the card...and didn't turn the camera back on active mode..., haha oh well.

I hope everyone elses scouting is going well too.

Any more ideas or votes for a team name?

Got a couple more pics. Still nothing huge, but I'd definately choot 'em.

Wow Im really flattered with the name choice! I wont be able to make it out on opener because mr.cfk has tests for school all weekend, so we will not be going hunting.

No worries though..its a long season! mr.cfk has dedicated the first part of his season to getting me a kill, and Im determined to at least kill a doe this season. I had a few opportunities at smaller does and fawns last season, and I feel like now that I have a season under my belt, I'll be ready to go.

Good luck to everyone else on the team, and hopefully we can all put some points up on the board!

JGHagemann it was very nice to meet you last night at my sisters wedding! I see a little good karma coming for Team 9 this year. Let's get some points on the board and set forth on the 2011 World Domination Tour.

I had a job interview today in huron, sd so I stopped by my father in-law's (Harry) ground on the way back to check camera's. When I got there I saw that the ground bordering our piece on the south side was being marked for walk-in area (a chunk that Harry was hoping to buy soon). That wasn't the biggest deal. I don't mind that other people will have a place to hunt. The next thing I saw was that the treestand across the fence from my stand was gone. It's a long story but it was the trespasser that was in my stand the first time I went to hunt my stand that put this stand up right across the fence. He then had the audacity to call Harry and ask if he could set up a rotating hunting schedule for that area. he would hunt it one weekend and then Harry could hunt it the next. Harry basically told him that it was his ground and he would hunt it whenever he damn well pleased. Well now since the ground was going into walk-in this guy had to get his stand off of the other ground he was on. And i'm about 99% sure he hopped the fence and took my trailcam while he was at it . I'm not sure whether to file a report with the sheriffs office or let it go. I don't want the sheriff stirring up the landowner and end up ruining Harry's chances of buying it...Kinda frustrating.

At least the job interview went well. If I get it, it would make up for everything else...
