I don't mind that other people will have a place to hunt. The next thing I saw was that the treestand across the fence from my stand was gone. It's a long story but it was the trespasser that was in my stand the first time I went to hunt my stand that put this stand up right across the fence. He then had the audacity to call Harry and ask if he could set up a rotating hunting schedule for that area. he would hunt it one weekend and then Harry could hunt it the next. Harry basically told him that it was his ground and he would hunt it whenever he damn well pleased. Well now since the ground was going into walk-in this guy had to get his stand off of the other ground he was on. And i'm about 99% sure he hopped the fence and took my trailcam while he was at it . I'm not sure whether to file a report with the sheriffs office or let it go. I don't want the sheriff stirring up the landowner and end up ruining Harry's chances of buying it...Kinda frustrating.

At least the job interview went well. If I get it, it would make up for everything else...
    That just plain sucks!

Got out last weekend for SD's openner. Only saw a couple does, but nothing close enough to shoot. Went out last night on my father in-law's and saw a decent 4x4 125in range I figure. He gave me an opportunity, but I just couldn't do it this early in the season with bigger deer out there

What are your plans for the upcoming weeks?

Now that the weather has changed, I am hopeful to be able to get on some deer. I've had some opportunities on small bucks, but not a whole lot of movement on my properties. I begin a 12 day vacation next Thursday. The plan is to hunt MN from October 20-24, then I travel to northern North Dakota for a hunt from October 26-November 1 (I should hit the chasing phase of the rut right on). I will then return to MN and hunt on Novemebr 3 with the hopes of catching a chasing buck like I have the past 3 years! Let's keep the steak alive!

Time to put up some points!

Had a great encounter earlier this week when I rattled. I had a upper 140's ten point that I have lots of cam pics come on a dead run and stop 25 yards broadside. It was exciting to say the least and I am glad that it didn't work out because I have bigger fish to fry......I hope. Good luck team, it is just getting good.

This is the Doe I shot on 10/22/11. And a picture of the long haul back to deer camp with her. She died in one of the hardest places on the property to get her out. I almost didnt kill this deer due to my arrow deflecting off a branch. The piece of branch was actually imbedded in the wound. I will post a picture of the entry wound later. I have 4 real nice bucks on my property that I am targeting next. I posted her up in the scoring thread also. Good luck to everyone.

Fair? I just dragged that doe over a mile along a cornfield then up and down two 50 foot ravens LoL. Have you ever tried using a cart on soft terrain, uneven ground over logs etc.? It is alot harder than it looks. The terrain in the picture is coming out of a raven and entering a corn field that is why it is semi flat. If you dont like that picture wait till you see the next one I kill strapped to the back of my four wheeler.LoL

Again congrats on you r downed deer
I have actually thought of getting a cart
I actually used a piece of heavy plastic to drag one out through crp field
it was actully pretty slick the grass did not grab on to the deer as much as normal
    works great on snow too

My two properties in MN have dried up or gone nocturnal. I am headed to ND on Thursday for a quick 3 day hunt. I'll hopefully get a shot at a buck (a couple have been seen during daylight hours), but will shoot the first mature deer I can to get meat in the freezer!

    Anyone else seeing anything?
