I have not ever fished for walleyes or crappies on fireside I generally fish muskies, and catch a lot of bass and pike. I have seen most of the people fishing the southern shorelines west of the boat landing there are some fish cribs scattered along the edge in the 10-12 ft range. Thats where I would lookd for crappies and walleyes try pinkies with a slip bobber usually a good ticket for them. I have only been on the lake 4 times. I have a small bungalo 5 miles east of fireside. I would fish Holcombe or the chip river if you want numbers for crappies and walleyes. Cant go wrong there we have done well there for crappies.
