Default It's OFFICIAL now!! I will never buy a Cuddback product again!!

Tried to take my Cuddeback Capture IR that I recently bought back to Fleet Farm because the nighttime pictures are pretty much just a blurr. Fleet Farm informed me that Cuddeback doesn't allow them to take any returns on their products. Why don't they put that in their advertisements "Our cameras are the best but you cannot return them to the store if they don't work!!" I wonder how many they would sell then. I will NEVER buy another Cuddeback camera!!
Is it November 2012 yet?? 2011 sucked arse for me!!

Call cuddeback and try to get your refund out of them! That is horrible business practices if they wont allow you to return a product you are dissatisfied with!

You're telling me!! They should have that posted on the product or in ads somehow. Kinda like if Remington sold you a new shotgun and you took it home and it wouldn't fire a round and you took it back to the store and they told you sorry Remington won't allow us to do returns, here is a phone number to call!

Yeah, see what they say, you will probably have to mail it to them. I am sure you will get it back just in time for the end of hunting season. Sorry about your deal there, that is frustrating. That is why they call them cuddecrap I guess....

Most electronics companies won't let you take their product back to the store if it's defective. Granted, most stores will still take them back because it's more business for them, but it's usually against the manufacturer's policy.

i cant speak to how fleet farm runs their business. that very well could be that cuddeback wouldn't take them back from them depending on how they have their contract written up. they might not even take them back from bass pro, but that doesn't mean bass pro is going to short their customer. maybe try taking it to cabelas and returning it there. i hear they have fairly good customer service.

i imagine they (cuddeback) takes returns from somewhere considering they are selling refurbished cameras with a warranty for cheap

They don't allow the cameras to be returned to the stores because too many people would go buy a camera and use it for a week and return the camera even though it works fine. Most manufactures want the cameras returned to them so they can repair or replace the camera if there is something wrong. If you call Cuddeback they might even have a download that they will send you to update your camera and fix the issue. Good luck!!

I know I'll never own another Cuddeback. I've had 6 of these camera's (No Flash). Customer service sucked more then the camera's themselves did. If I was you Mn I'd contact Cuddeback rather then Fleet farm.

I have 2 flash models that work flawlessly! Had them for several years now. It is just this IR model that sucks. It takes ok daytime pics just the night time ones are horrible and can hardly tell what the picture is of! Sunrise and sunset pictures are probably the worst for some reason.

I hated trying to set up the Cuddeback's we had. Had to push so many damn buttons that it took forever to get it set to take pictures. The Moultrie I have now, just turn the switch to "On", and it's ready to take a picture. So nice.

Not to mention the battery life! We've had our Moultrie's for over a year now, and the batteries are still over 60%. Heck, we set it out the other day and got 105 pictures and 105 videos of a weed moving in front of the camera, and it didn't drop more than a couple percent.

Same issue for me. The flash models work great and take really goo pictures. the IR models are garbage. I won't buy another one of their cameras. Haven't quite decided what I will buy next, but it will probably be a reconyx. Their price tag hurts my sphincter a little though.

I'll tell you from recent first hand experience, Cuddeback has THE WORST customer service I have ever tried to deal with. I sent them an email to ask a techincal question about my 6 year old No Flash camera, it took 6 days to get a reply, which of course the email made no sense. So I tried to call, for me it's a local call, and was on hold for 15 minutes of dead silence. I emailed again asking for them to call me on my day off at home between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM since they start their day at 8:00 AM I figured that would be best. I gave them 5 business days which I figured was plenty of time to set things up on their end. I requested that they email me if this doesn't work for them. Since I got no reply by email I figured it was a go. On the day in question no call. So I called them and was on hold for 29 min 45 sec. When the call was finally answered and I explained my issue, the lady had no clue and said a service tech could call me back WHEN THEY GET TIME. I asked ow long that would be since I was leaving for a long weekend with the wife. She said it could be a couple of days. To top it off, I got a return email the day AFTER they were supposed to call. What a bunch of BS. I work only a mile from their office so I'm going there personally tonight after work to get some answers. I'll let you know how things turn out.

Good luck. Hopefully you have better luck with them in person. I had to get a hold of them last week because my piece of $hit no flash $hit the bed. After waiting on the phone for the apparently mandatory half hour waiting period listening to some super annoying recording telling me that my call is important to them and someone will be with me shortly, blah, blah, blah I was told that they no longer service these cameras. I was basically given three choices. I could throw the camera away or trade it in on a capture IR (refurbished ) for $75 or a new attack IR (new) for $150. I have two no flash cameras and they are the biggest pieces of $hit I have ever owned. Wish I had never bought them. I've had nothing but problems with them and they take horrible pictures!

I bought the first no flash when they came out for $400 and it didn't make it through one fall. Tried to get it sent in and their horrible service got me to just say F it. I guess they got what they wanted....my $400 and didn't have to spend a nickel on my camera in the future fixing it.

I just said F it and put the camera back out in the woods. It takes good daytime pictures and somewhat blurry pictures at night but the sunrise and sunset times of day you can make out what is in the picture at all. Kinda sucks cause I don't know what the animal is in the pic at that time of day but I guess it is getting some pictures for me.

I'm sure glad I never bought a Cuddeback when I thought about them or I'd likely be using it for target practice about now followed by sending cuddeback the pieces seeing as how long it took for all of yours to fail. That sucks to hear how bad they are but in the end their business will fail.

Cuddeback seems to have a lot of people fired up with the new Attack line.
I just updated the firmware on my Attack IR today and put it back out in the woods.
I'll check in a few days and see how it goes.
