    Default Reconyx

After running 7 Cuddebacks for over 6 years and all the problems with returning cameras and the worst customer service of any company I bit the bullet and ordered 7 hyperfires that I will pick up today.Saturday night I sat on a food plot and watched 4 deer for 15 minutes parade infront of my capture and the flash went off 1 time.Makes me wonder how mant deer I have missed pictures of the last 6 years.Guys that are using Reconyx how are you setting up cameras for time lapse on food plots, water holes, scrapes, and funnels any advice would be helpful. I may be selling my captures if anyone is interested I might keep a few also unsure yet.

Default No mistake in buying Reconyx cameras

I have never used the time lapse mode. One of the best things about a Reconyx camera is the fact that you can program the camera for no quiet period which gives you almost video like photoage. So that being side you can almost do away with the time lapse mode also simply because the trigger distance is so far. The camera will old almost endless supplies of pictures on a 4mp SD card. I use my camera everywhere but if you are looking to compare cameras put them on a trail facing across the trail. The trigger speed is better than anything you have ever used.

My most common setting that I use is a 3 picture burst mode, spacing the pictures out every 3 seconds. If I have it on a mineral lick then I put a 15 second delay after the 3 pics are taken so it basically takes about 9 pictures if a deer is in front of the camera for 1 minute. When it gets to middle of October when I have them on scrapes that I hunt by, I set mine on Rapidfire....takes a pic about every second. Good luck with your new cameras.

All 3 of mine are on Rapidfire no matter where I have them set up at. You can always delete pics but you can never get pictures back that you missed while your camera was In quite mode.

They are the best!!! But if you want to cover more area you and get 3 of another brand for the same price and cover more area. You will miss some pictures that the Reconyx will capture but you will get pictures in another area where you don't have the Reconyx. This is always a hard decision when it comes cameras, one of the best and hardly ever miss a picture and cover one area at a time or get multiple good cameras, miss a few pictures but cover 3 areas!!

You got the empty part right but if I added up the money spent in last 7 years on the cuddebacks in batteries and in returning broken cameras that you have to give them $100 to get another one.I will be money ahead in the long run.The best part will be checking camers after a couple weeks and have them actually all work.Nothing worse than showing up to check cameras and always having one if not more of the 7 with a problem.I sure hope the Reconyx camers are as good as all the reviews.
