We're getting close to that magical time of year!! The woods where I hunt exploded with sign this past weekend and the deer sightings in general are on the rise. Hopefully this weather keeps up and keeps the deer active!!
Is it November 2012 yet?? 2011 sucked arse for me!!

Within just the last 3 days we went from seeing does with fawns to seeing the fawns kicked away by the does. The bucks I've been seeing in groups are no longer in those groups, and my cousin seen a smaller buck dogging a doe last night.

    I think it's almost time!

Almost there! Rattled this 3-and-half y/o in at 7:45am Sunday--if he'd have had 10 inches of 4's, he'd have had a Muzzy thrown at him (emphasis on the "at him" ). Still no daylight sightings of any of the crafty veterans (4 y/o+ bruisers) but I think they'll start slipping up here in the next week! Always have had the best luck during the early chase phase!!

Things we just starting to get good here in west-central Illinois. This weekend a few buddies tagged 150-160 class Bucks and all reported some great activity! However, the recent heat wave that will keep the temps in the upper 70's is a kick in the pants after several days of much cooler temps!

Im heading out this weekend with rattling antlers hoping to get one to come in. That is if i can walk to stand. Sprained ankle is still bad after over a week.

They were really responding well in southern Monroe County, WI last weekend, cowboy. I think this weekend it's going to start getting wild if the temps stay down. Bummer about the ankle, I rolled/sprained one last year jumping over a creek in Kansas on the second day of my 7-day hunt. It was absolutely excruciating walking in, on stand, and walking out. I taped it down but had an allergic reaction to the pre-wrap. Murphy's Law, I guess. I hope you fare better than I did!

Had a decent buck responnd to the horns last night but would not come close enough to really judge him and get a shot if he was big enough
Hunting a area that i dont put any cams on due to the chance of theft so every night i hunt there is a suprise
    always have chances at does

Heading out tonight! One of my spots requires an East wind, and it looks like NE this afternoon!
I love this time of year!

Drive semi for a living and drive through alot of rural area. Saw a huge buck on his feet at 10:30 this morning in the wide open. The weather here was perfect for good deer movement today. To bad a person has to work for a living I would have loved to have been in a treestand today!!
