My dad shot this deer today but he took a step as he shot and got far back. didnt find him.

If you didn't push him too hard searching for him today I'd get back out there in the morning after the deers had a chance to bed down and die. I always make it a point to back out and wait for several hours if I am not sure about the shot. I've found that if left alone for a while, they won't normally go too far; but if pushed and have that adrenaline rush, they can go for miles!

Nice looking deer though. I hope you guys can find him!

he shot it at like 10 this morning and we went out there tonight at 8 and he hadnt bedded down at all then it started pooring so we lost all the blood haha. hope he made it though.
