    Default Finally got him!

Well I finally got the buck I was after all season yesterday morning. My dad had him at 60 yards with a bow but couldn't get him to come closer. I had him at 40 yards with a bow and he stayed in the brush. So yesterday morning when it got light I heard a deer walking my way and when I caught a glimpse of his horns I knew it was him. It got on a trail that would go five yards past my stand. When he got within 20 yards and gave me my first shot, I took it. He ran about 60 yards and piled up. The day I have a gun I could have shot him with a bow and when I had my bow I needed a gun. With any weapon though he is my biggest buck. 13 pointer gross scoreing 164 and some change. Had a little over a 21 inch inside spread. Smallest mass was 4 1/2 inches. Small body though, only weighed 170 pounds. He was a fighter though, he had scares everywhere and his cheek was dislocated and infected. I am sure happy with him and I hope you all enjoy the pics.

What an AWESOME BUCK!!!! Congrats on getting him. I have been done hunting in Minnesota for a few weeks already ( Waiting for Wisconsin) but I went and checked my trail cameras yesterday and there has been a ton of daytime movement by the big boys the 11th and 12th!! Hope it stays that way for shotgun in Wisonsin next weekend.
Is it November 2012 yet?? 2011 sucked arse for me!!

I hunt 3 different farms in MN and evidently we hunt close by on one of my places. Here are some cool trail cam pics of your buck. Congrats on an awesome deer and I'm glad he went to a TMH member.
