Is there anyone else like myself that can't wait to see this season end?

It's been a rough one for me...I think I'm gonna call it quits in MN as the two properties that I hunt have dried up. I'm leaving for a late season bowhunt in ND tomorrow morning (Hunt Thursday PM-Saturday PM). There are still a few bucks traveling through so there is always a chance I will get one, but I'm gonna try to take the first mature deer I see to put some meat in the freezer.

Taking my 12 year old son Muzzleloader hunting Friday-Sunday finally cold and a little snow.Couple acres of beans and corn so hopefully he can finally shoot his first buck.Got 3 big ones still on camera after gun season so hope one steps out during shooting hours. He has passed up plenty of small bucks last couple years and chose to shoot does instead (HIS CHOICE) and still loves deer hunting with Dad.And yes we manage our farm but the Kids can shoot what makes them happy

I never want the season to end..... and it's always sad to see it pass. A guy only lives one season at a time and unfortunately.... none us get enough of them in out lifetimes.

However, it's been a very difficult and frustrating season for all of us for sure. As the seasons passes I will reflect on all the things that I vowed to do.... stands moved, new locations prepared, various habitat improvements, shed hunting and then of course preparing for turkey season. Lot to do!

I am also awaiting next season archery season. This year just went to fast (not complaining) only 2 sits and a 147" buck. Didnt even get to hunt the rut. I am excited to get out and do some shed hunting, I was fortunate enought to be invited to hunt the same peice of proporty that I shot my buck on this year again next year. It will be nice to see deer again. Here where I live the hunting just " well should I say just sucks". I know there are several good bucks left on the farm for next year.

Ugh!...part of me wants it to end, but the rest of me doesnt want it to end until there's meat in the freezer.
Buck, doe, whatever...at this point I just want to shoot something brown!

I'm the same way, where i've been hunting this year there just haven't been the deer numbers as other areas i've hunted. All year the only thing I had a shot at was a 130" 6 pointer that I unfortunately had to pass on. Now with the holidays coming up I don't know if I will be getting out anymore at all this season.

I have been really looking forward to the last two weeks and this year I have an extra 8 days in WI. I love it. Best time of the year to fill the freezer. Find food - you got venny!

I am looking forward to the end...I am still hunting but feeling like I have no chance at a buck whatsoever. Was fortunate enough to harvest a doe with archery and also a doe with muzzeloader, but still waiting for a good buck. Looks like my 6 yr buck drought will continue...

If one has land that A)has food and B)it's unpressured, hunting this time of the year can be about as good as it gets. I wish that I had A & B.

I also love this time of the year! I take muzzleloader season pretty serious. However, this season one of my landowners had an opening or room for me to hunt the gun season. I tagged out by 7:30 Sunday morning of opening week end. I got a pretty 8 pointer he's nothing huge, but he's the second biggest deer I've ever shot. He took a trip to the taxidermist. It was nice to tag out early but I do miss hunting the late season. My buddy still has a tag I hope to get out one last time Sunday evening. That is if he doesn't fill it before then. Then it will be time to take the two stands down I didn't need to use. Good Luck and Safe hunting to all of you out trying to fill tags yet!

I am sad today...been watching a good buck on the property I hunt, been hoping to close the deal...so today i went out in the AM, saw a doe but she was too far (no shot) Later on I was making my way back to the truck when I spotted some blood...followed it back to a fresh (as of last night) gut pile, very close to where the big boy was bedding...pretty sure he is gone.
